“Five Dollar Friday” Postponed by Rain Odessa, MO (August 24, 2007) – Race time came and so did the rain at I-70 Speedway on “Five Dollar Friday” As the cars hit the track for their hot lap sessions, a light rain dampened the track. The cars stayed on the track, keeping in packed in hoping the shower would pass. Unfortunately the shower turned into heavy rain and officials were force to cancel the night of racing.
For those persons who purchased grandstand tickets, those tickets will be honored next Friday night. For those who purchased pit passes, those passes will be honored next Friday night also.
“Five Dollar Friday” resumes next Friday night August 31st. Pit Gates open at 5:00; Admission Gates open at 6:00. Hot Laps begin at 7:30 with Racing at 8:15. Featured classes on “Five Dollar Fridays” are; IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA SportMods, Sport Compacts and Farm Trucks. As always admission tickets for Friday are only $5.00
