Double Header Weekend Ahead at I-70 Speedway

 

Odessa, MO (May16, 2007) Race fans can experience great racing action this weekend at I-70 Speedway. 

 

First up on Friday night is “Five Dollar Friday”, named that because general admission tickets are only $5.00.  No where else in the Kansas City area can you see four classes of dirt track action for only $5.00.  Friday night on the dirt track features the more affordable type of racing provided by IMCA Modifieds, Stock Cars, SportMods and Sport Compacts.  Plus, this Friday we will unveil the new, all for fun, “Farm Truck Racing”, featuring trucks we race, not race trucks.  Again, General Admission tickets are only $5.00 - Children 5 and under are admitted for free.  Pit Gates open at 5:00; Admission Gates open at 6:00.  Pit Passes for Friday night are only $15.00.  Hot Laps begin at 7:30 with Racing at 8:15.

 

Then it’s “Two for One” Saturday.  This Saturday at I-70 Speedway you can see two great shows for only one admission price.  First, on the asphalt, “Americas Fasted Weekly Race Track”, will feature the ASA Late Models, Super Trucks, Enduros and the Super Stocks, plus this week is “Fan Appreciation Night”.  Fans can purchase Hot Dogs, Pepsi and Beer, each for only one dollar.  And, if that is not enough, the I-70 Dirt Track will host the I-70 Sprint Cars.  This new class of sprint car racing has only on rule, “No Wings”.  Admission prices for this Saturday are $12.00 for adults, $5.00 for Children 6 to 11 and Children 5 and under are admitted for free.  Pit Gates open at 4:00, Admission Gates open at 5:00 Hot Laps for the Asphalt Track are at 6:00 with Racing at 7:30.  Hot Laps on the Dirt Track are at 8:00 with Racing at 9:00

 

This Saturday Night is also C.A.R.B. night at I-70 Speedway.  All Central Area Racing Boosters will receive free admission by showing their C.A.R.B. membership cards.  For those of you not familiar with C.A.R.B., the C.A.R.B. Preamble is: “To promote interest in and understanding of the Auto Racing Sport in Missouri and elsewhere among the general public. To induce cooperation between Fans, Car Owners, Drivers, Track Officials, and the General Public. To encourage better sportsmanship at the race tracks.  Through a membership and its contributions to the organization, personnel, and funds are made available for accomplishing the Club's purposes”. 

 

Also, this Saturday night, I-70 Speedway welcomes a group from Reece & Nichols.  This group will be hosted by popular ASA Late Model Driver Kevin Foster and his wife Kathi.  Both, Kevin and Kathi are agents for Reece & Nichols.  Reece & Nichols is Kansas City’s leading, one-stop source for residential real estate.
