2008 Farm Truck Rules

General Rules

#1.  All Trucks must be 100% Stock, GM to GM, Ford to Ford, Dodge to Dodge, etc.

#2.  Personal Safety Equipment Minimum but not limited to:

·         Helmet – must have safety glasses, goggles or full face shield.

·         Long sleeves – Mandatory Shirt or Jacket, but Fire Suit (Recommended)      

·         Gloves (Racing Gloves Recommended)

#3.  All glass, chrome and trim must be removed.

• Five ½ " bars in place of windshield in front of driver.

#4.  Doors must have a Safety Chain with hooks

#5.  Mandatory Roll Bar or Cage (Recommended)

• Main cage must consist of continuous hoops, minimum 1.75 inch O.D. tubing, with a minimum wall thickness of 0.095 inch, low carbon or mild steel recommended.
• 2" Square thick wall tubing is allowed.
• Extended Cabs must have roll bar or cage inside the truck, not in the bed.
• Must be some door protection on drivers side, bar from cage to floor or bar in door.

#6.  Chevrolet, GMC must use a fuel cell or boat tank (in a metal can secured by at least           two metal straps) in the bed of the truck. Ford and Dodge is optional but recommended.

#7.  Trucks will be checked for weights.

#8.  OEM Seat and seat belts or aluminum racing seat and at least 4 point harness.

#9.  ½ ton and ¾ ton two wheel drives, four wheel drives must remove front drive shaft.

#10.  Numbers must be 18" tall with numbers on the roof and both doors.

#11.  Must use OEM bumpers., No tube bumpers.

#12.  $750.00 Claim of entire truck less safety equipment. Refusal of sale is forfeiture of points for night and one week suspension. Claimant must finish on same lap as winner.

#13 .  All hoods need hood pins for fire accessibility.

Engine

Engine must be stock. Stock carburetor (no aftermarket), stock intake (no aftermarket or aluminum), stock exhaust (cat and muffler may be removed). No Headers Allowed!!! No aftermarket Air Cleaners.

Transmission

Must be OEM transmission, no racing transmissions, no direct drives, no racing 2 speed power glides

Tires

D.O.T approved 31 X 10.50 X 15 or 265 X 75 R 16 or smaller.

Suspension

Must be OEM; no racing springs or shocks.
