Raffurty's Finish 1, 2, 3 On I-70 Speedway Dirt
Odessa, MO (May
3, 2008) -- "I really wanted to outrun my big brother!" Jeff Raffurty
told the Saturday night crowd at I-70 Speedway. The DCRA Dwarf Car / Mod
Lite feature on the adjoining dirt track was the night's finale after a
full program of asphalt racing on the track below. Upstairs in heat race
action, Jeff Rafurty also had won his qualifying heat. with Justin
Bucholz winning the other. Competing not only against his brother, his
nephew Michael Raffurty was also beat by Jeff in the heat and the
feature! The three Raffertys finished 1-2-3 in the feature, Jeff, from
Hallsville, MO. David and Michael Raffurty are both from Kansas City.
Greg Nellis from Valley Falls, KS finished fourth with Brad Taylor of
Olathe, KS taking fifth in the event, which was filled with great passes and four
wide action!

The Speedway will continue a
two track Saturday night format the rest of the 2008 season. The I-70
Extreme Non-wing Sprints make bi-monthly appearances and the dirt track
also operates independently on Friday nights featuring IMCA Modifieds,
Stock Cars, SportMods along with Sport Compacts and Farm Trucks. A

Whitney
Returns to Victory Lane on the I-70 Dirt
Odessa, MO (May 2, 2008) -- Sanctioned IMCA
racing resumed Friday night at I-70 Speedway's dirt
track. 2007 Stock Car Champion, Brad Whitney
won the first heat and Thomas Roberts won the
second. Whitney went on to win the feature in that
division on a chilly night at I-70 Speedway. Thomas
Roberts battled his way with Whitney all the way
from the back to take second with Matt Marrant
finishing third. Marrant was the 2007 Sport Mod
Champion, now driving Stock Cars in 2008.
